Book launch for his autobiography ‘From The Bottom Of The Heap: The Autobiography Of Black Panther Robert Hillary King’. Robert Hillary King is better known as one of the Angola 3, who served over 31 years in Louisiana’s ‘slave plantation’ at Angola, 29 of them in solitary confinement. He, together with his Angola 3 comrades, Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox, organized within the prison the first (and only) Black Panther chapter behind the walls. The state reacted (unsurprisingly) accordingly. Green Arcade is the wonderful new bookshop being opened up by Patrick Marks (late manager of Cody's). This is the first public event at this new store! Part of the ‘Great Rehearsal’ Week of ’68 events.
